a life of one's own
the new apartment is comfortable; good light
from the east,– is spacious, and the working
set-up is perfectly utilitarian.
It’s a complex of 9 stories holding 100 apartments.
this is the farthest reach in the northern territory of the city
setting it apart from the dense population toward the south.
as for industry, I enjoy the big rigs in their late afternoon departures;
it's like watching the gang of older kids in '51,
straddling their heavy American bikes to discover
the unknown before I became the same as each of them.
there is a river running southward and it's clearly seen
further northward, cutting eastward toward its beginning.
–– sundown, and continuing a life of one's own.
