-stay at home. don’t go out. the mad Italians are coming-

made plans to attend Bruno Madera's “Satyricon”
at the South Swansea Mega Music Plex:
“Ten Hi-Fi Record Players Spinning All The Time”.
been checking the listings for weeks but it seems
the South Swansea Mega Music Plex believes there isn’t an audience
for such a sitting and deemed it: “likely lost revenue”.
told customer service over the phone that “I” live in Swansea. “Me”!
said: "I have a lot of smart friends, some with money, too".
representative took my name and number.
said she’d get back to me.
said she understood my problem.
asked: “how many more like you in Swansea”?
asked: “they like this kind of music, do they”?
said: “you have a wonderful speaking voice, William”.
said: “tell me about yourself. what type of work you do?
          you tall”?
said: “I’ll get back to you, William”.

later, after a light supper of chunk-white
albacore tuna on rye with mayo,
thinly sliced onion, chopped black olive,
chopped celery and a crisp leaf
of iceberg lettuce, (a fine compliment to a tuna on rye)
I realized that I had that very performance
tucked into my stacks of personal recordings.
so I listened to Bruno Maderna’s “Satyricon”
with a cold beer (It's Samuel Adams, I like) and
a fridge-cool fancy tuna sandwich.
problem is, now I’ve a hankerin' for a taste of Luciano Berio's "Voci"!

“Ten Hi-Fi Record Players Spinning All The Time” my ass
and besides, the last laugh stops here.
I've got Luciano tucked inside the stacks, too! Ha!
