illuminates the rooftops

and from the street corner

polishes the gull-finned Impalas.

earlier, her black & white saddles

slipped magnetically

across the dance-floor pulling me in.

but below the dome-light of the headliner

is where we'd find the closing

tune of the dance.

which conned the saltwater
